01 — Overview

What this is

Webspot is Lebanon's leading AI company, building agentic systems and AI-native products for enterprises across the GCC since 2016. The Summer Residency is a 12-week immersion for exceptional engineering students who want to build at the edge of applied AI — and walk away with a shipped product, real production engineering skill, and a path into the industry.

This is not an internship in the conventional sense. You don't get assigned tasks. You build a real product Webspot uses, mentored daily by the CTO and senior engineering team. By the end of the summer, your work goes live and Webspot leadership demos it publicly.

Mentorship-rich, not task-rich. You are treated as a junior engineer with senior support — not as an intern with assignments.
02 — Structure

The Three-Month Arc

Month 01 — June

Foundations

Bootcamp on Webspot's stack: Next.js, Supabase, FastAPI, CrewAI, LangGraph, LLM patterns, evals. Daily standups, code reviews, pair programming. By the end of the month, you've shipped your first feature.

Month 02 — July

Build

You take ownership of one real Webspot tool and lead its development. Architecture review with the CTO before you write code. You're the engineer on your project, not the trainee.

Month 03 — August

Ship

Finalize, harden, deploy to production. Internal demo day. Your tool goes live in Webspot's operations. You leave with working code in production, a portfolio piece, and a public demo.

What you'll build

You'll choose from a slate of real internal Webspot tools after the first two weeks. Each is genuinely shippable in eight weeks of focused build.

Proposal Generator

Agentic system that drafts client proposals from past project data and brand-compliant templates.

Internal Form Builder

A Webspot-branded form builder for client onboarding and discovery.

AI Jewelry Design Tool

Creative AI system for visual concept generation.

Sector News Aggregator

Intelligence pipeline that ingests, classifies, and summarizes industry news.

Your Own Idea

Propose your own internal tool, subject to CTO approval.

04 — Outcomes

05 — Fit

Who should apply

  • Final-year computer science or engineering students at Lebanese universities
  • Earlier-year students with demonstrable building experience — GitHub, side projects, hackathons
  • Comfort with at least one of: Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, modern web fundamentals
  • Genuine curiosity about applied AI — you've used Claude or ChatGPT to build things, not just consume them
  • Able to commit three days a week, in-person in Beirut, June through August
You don't need to be the strongest student in your cohort. You need to be the one who builds.
